Objectives/Goals

Primary Objective: To ensure that all activities of Wolkite University are conducted in full compliance with national laws, regulations, and the University's internal policies and procedures.

Development Goals: The Office is committed to developing a team of legally qualified, skilled, and experienced professionals capable of effectively supporting and upholding the University's legal and regulatory obligations.

Duties and Responsibilities

1.      Legal Representation: As the legal department, we represent the University in all legal matters before courts of law and administrative tribunals. This includes managing all litigation processes in cases where the University initiates legal action or is sued by others.

2.      Advisory Role: The Office, particularly the Executive Officer, serves as the chief legal advisor to the University. We provide legal counsel to the management primarily upon request supporting them in fulfilling their daily responsibilities. This is done through in-person consultations, formal written opinions, and other communication channels such as phone calls and text messaging.

3.      Ensuring Compliance: The Office also acts as the primary compliance checkpoint to ensure the University adheres to the rule of law. In this capacity, we offer corrective recommendations and perform an oversight role to promote legal and regulatory compliance across the institution.
