Objectives/Goals

1. Promote Social Responsibility: Encourage faculty, students, and staff to actively engage in community development initiatives.
2. Perform any other duties as may be required by the Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer Affairs.
3. Enhance Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate the dissemination of academic knowledge and research findings to address societal challenges.
4. Support Sustainable Development: Implement projects aligned with local and national development priorities.
5. Strengthen University-Community Linkages: Foster partnerships with government, NGOs, and local communities.
6. Empower Local Communities: Offer training, consultancy, and problem-solving initiatives to improve livelihoods.
7. Improve Public Services: Engage in health, education, environmental protection, and agricultural development projects.
8. Encourage Volunteerism: Develop a culture of volunteerism among students and staff for social impact.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Plan and Implement Community Service Programs: Design and execute projects that address pressing societal needs.
2. Coordinate University Resources: Mobilize faculty expertise, student engagement, and institutional resources for community services.
3. Monitor and Evaluate Impact: Assess the effectiveness of initiatives and ensure alignment with community needs.
4. Foster Collaboration: Work with local, national, and international partners to expand outreach efforts.
5. Conduct Training and Capacity Building: Provide skill enhancement programs for community members.
6. Engage in Policy Advocacy: Recommend solutions for social issues based on university research.
7. Support Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Facilitate technology transfer and business development programs.
8. Organize Awareness Campaigns: Promote health, environmental conservation, and social welfare initiatives.
9. Ensure Sustainability of Projects: Develop self-sustaining models for long-term community service programs.
10. Prepare Reports and Documentation: Maintain records of activities, impact assessments, and project outcomes.
