 Goals

  1. Maximize Property Utilization: Ensure all university properties and facilities are used effectively, efficiently, and to their full potential for academic and administrative purposes.
  2. Maintain Sustainable Property Management: Focus on long-term sustainability in property management, ensuring eco-friendly, energy-efficient, and cost-effective practices.
  3. Ensure Safe and Secure Facilities: Prioritize the safety and security of the university buildings, spaces, and assets to provide a safe learning and working environment.
  4. Support University Growth and Development: Align property management strategies with the university's vision and growth plans, supporting new academic programs and infrastructure development.
  5. Compliance with Regulations: Ensure all properties comply with national and local building codes, regulations, and university policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.      Property Oversight and Management:

  •         Oversee the management, maintenance, and development of all university properties, including academic buildings, dormitories, administrative offices, and recreational facilities.
  •          Plan, develop, and implement property management strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
  •          Develop and maintain property-related policies and procedures in line with university goals.

2.      Security and Safety Management:

  •          Oversee the installation and maintenance of security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control to ensure the security of university properties.
  •          Develop emergency evacuation plans, safety protocols, and fire safety procedures to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors.

3.      Space Planning and Allocation:

  •          Ensure the optimal use of space within university facilities, working with academic and administrative departments to allocate space according to needs.
  •          Lead the planning and execution of any renovation, expansion, or construction projects to meet the university’s growing needs.

4.      Sustainability Initiatives:

  •          Promote sustainability initiatives, such as waste reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainable building practices, to reduce the environmental impact of university properties.
  •          Implement green building practices in the design, maintenance, and renovation of university facilities.

By focusing on these goals and responsibilities, the Property Executive Director would play a critical role in supporting the university's infrastructure, sustainability, and overall mission.
