The Public and International Relations Executive at Wolkite University aims to manage and enhance the institution’s image while fostering strong relationships with both internal and external audiences, including the public and various organizations at national and international levels.

For long-term career growth in this field, the office focuses on developing strategic communication and diplomacy skills while also building and strengthening networks with diverse national and international organizations.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Public and International Relations Executive reports directly to the President and, in accordance with the University’s legislation, are responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

@ Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies and campaigns to promote the University’s brand, its graduates (products), and its community service initiatives.

@ Coordinate, facilitate, delegate, and assign tasks to the Public and International Relations team, overseeing their daily operations and ensuring progress is being monitored effectively.

@ Represent the University in interviews and press conferences, communicating key messages and announcements to the media and the public.

@ Organize interviews, press releases, and press conferences to promote the University’s teaching and learning, research, and community service activities.

@ Monitor media coverage and prepare reports to assess the effectiveness of public and international relations campaigns, identifying areas for improvement.

@ Collaborate with institutions, businesses, organizations, and the media to support the success of both current and future international projects at the University.

@ Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to generate positive coverage and secure interviews and feature stories.

@ Work closely with national and international governmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, and universities to develop key initiatives aimed at enhancing the University’s global presence and reputation.

@ Create, edit, and update promotional materials such as magazines, brochures, and flyers to effectively communicate the University’s activities and achievements.
