Wolkite University offered leadership capacity building training for women leaders
This capacity building training is organized by Wolkite University Women affairs & HIV/AIDS Control & Prevention Directorate. The number of participants who have been attended the training were 40 and among these team leaders, coordinators and other workers have been participated in the training.
The training was given by Yigeremu Kifle & Feven Yohannes, female lecturers at Wolkite University. The training was mainly focused on basic issues that a leader must meet, vision, core values, perspectives, working system & communication skills.
The training was officially opened by Dr. Yeshihareg Afera, Administrative & Corporate Management Vice President. In her opening speech Dr. Yeshihareg said that “We women are always expected to play our role consciously, to show our capacity by offering quality performance, to enhance our capacities by utilizing the existing opportunities & ultimately to become more successful in our overall working performance” Dr. Yeshihareg also added that by shouldering the spirit of “We Can “women must also be determined to overcome their fears and fulfill their expected responsibilities. Moreover, Dr. Yeshihareg also elaborated that we have to serve and influence others regardless of our job title in the effort to achieve a certain goal.
