ወልቂጤ ዩኒቨርሲቲ «ጀፎረን» በዩኔስኮ ለማስመዝገብ የሚያስችለውን የጥናት ውጤት አስረከበ

ወልቂጤ ዩኒቨርሲቲ «ጀፎረን» በዓለም አቀፉ የትምህርት፣ የሳይንስና የባህል ድርጅት (ዩኔስኮ) ለማስመዝገብ ያካሄደውን የጥናት ውጤት አስረከበ።

የጥናት ውጤቱ የተረከቡት የጉራጌ እና የምስራቅ ጉራጌ ዞኖች የባህልና ቱሪዝም መምሪያዎች ሲሆኑ፣ በርክክብ ስነ-ስርዓቱ ላይ የማዕከላዊ ኢትዮጵያ ክልል ባህልና ቱሪዝም ቢሮ ምክትል ኃላፊ አቶ ደግነህ ቦጋለ ተገኝተዋል።

በርክክብና በምክክር መድረኩ ላይ የዩኒቨርሲቲው የምርምርና ቴክኖሎጂ ሽግግር ምክትል ፕሬዝዳንት ዶክተር ዮሐንስ ገብሩ የእንኳን ደህና መጣችሁ ንግግር ካደረጉ በኋላ ስለ «ጀፎረ» ማብራሪያ ሰጥተዋል።

ይህ ጥናት የዩኔስኮን መስፈርቶች መሰረት አድርጎ የተጠናና ከአንድ ዓመት በላይ የፈጀ መሆኑን የገለጹት ዶክተር ዮሐንስ፤ የጥናቱ ዋና ዓላማ «ጀፎረ» በዓለም ቅርስነት እንዲመዘገብ፣ ልዩ ጥበቃ እንዲደረግለትና ከትውልድ ወደ ትውልድ እንዲሸጋገር ለማስቻል እንደሆነ አመላክተዋል።

የወልቂጤ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ፕሬዝዳንት ዶክተር አብደልሙህስን ሀሰን በበኩላቸው፤ ዩኒቨርሲቲው ከመማር ማስተማር ስራው ባለፈ በምርምር እና በቴክኖሎጂ ሽግግር ዘርፎች በርካታ ስራዎችን እያከናወነ እንደሚገኝ ገልጸዋል።

ዩኒቨርሲቲው በተግባራዊ ሳይንስ ምድብ ስር የሚመደብ በመሆኑ፣ ከዚህ ልየታ ጋር የተስማማ ስርዓተ-ትምህርት በመቅረጽ ላይ እንደሚገኝ ጠቁመው፤ በዚህም ሀገር በቀል እውቀቶችን ከዘመናዊው ሳይንስ ጋር በማስተሳሰር የማበልጸግ ስራ ላይ በትኩረት እንደሚሰራ አብራርተዋል።

"ዩኒቨርሲቲያችን ከአካባቢው ማህበረሰብ ጋር ዘርፈ-ብዙ ስራዎችን እየሰራ ይገኛል" ያሉት ፕሬዝዳንቱ፣ «ጀፎረን» በተመለከተም ከተቋሙ አርማ (ሎጎ) ጀምሮ በማስተዋወቅ፣ ባህላዊ እሴቱ ሳይበረዝ ለትውልድ እንዲተላለፍና ዓለም አቀፍ እውቅና እንዲያገኝ የበኩሉን ጥረት ማድረጉን አስታውሰዋል።

ዶክተር አብደልሙህስን ዛሬ ለርክክብ በበቃው የጥናት ውጤት ላይ ለተሳተፉ አካላት በሙሉ ምስጋናቸውን ያቀረቡ ሲሆን፣ ቅርሱ በዩኔስኮ ተመዝግቦ ዓለም አቀፍ እውቅና እንዲያገኝ ያላቸውን መልካም ምኞት ገልጸዋል። በመድረኩ ላይ የጉራጌ «ጀፎረ» ከማህበረሰቡ ጋር ያለው ጥልቅ ቁርኝትና ጥቅሙ በዝርዝር ቀርቧል።

በተያያዥም፣ ለአካባቢው ማህበረሰብ ጠቀሜታ ያለው «ጉራጌ ሀብ» የተሰኘው የቴክኖሎጂ ሲስተም (ስርዓት) የበለጸገ ሲሆን፣ ዛሬ ስራው ተጠናቆ የርክክብ ስነ-ስርዓት ተካሂዶለታል።

በመጨረሻም በቀረቡት የምክክር መነሻ ሃሳቦች ላይ ሰፊ ውይይት የተደረገ ሲሆን፣ በዚህ የምርምር ምክክር መድረክ ላይ፦

• የዩኒቨርሲቲው ከፍተኛ አመራሮች፣
• የማዕከላዊ ኢትዮጵያ ክልል ባህልና ቱሪዝም ቢሮ ምክትል ኃላፊ አቶ ደግነህ ቦጋለ፣
• የጉራጌ ዞን ባህልና ቱሪዝም መምሪያ ኃላፊ ወይዘሮ መሰረት አመርጋ፣
• የምስራቅ ጉራጌ ዞን ባህልና ቱሪዝም መምሪያ ኃላፊ ወይዘሮ ብሩክታዊት ፀጋዬ፣
• የካውንስል አባላት እና የሀገር ሽማግሌዎች ተሳትፈዋል።

በመጨረሻም በጠናቱ ላይ ለተሳተፉ አካላት እውቅና መርሃ ገብር ተከሂዶ የፕሮገራሙ መቋጫ ሆኗል፡፡

Wolkite University has officially submitted the findings of a research study aimed at registering "Jefore" (the traditional green Gurage village) with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The research outcomes were received by the Culture and Tourism Departments of the Gurage and East Gurage Zones. Mr. Degneh Bogale, Deputy Head of the Central Ethiopia Regional State Culture and Tourism Bureau, attended the handover ceremony.

Key Details of the Study
During the consultative and handover forum, Dr. Yohannes Gebru, the University Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer, delivered the welcoming address and provided an overview of "Jefore."

• Duration: The study took over a year to complete.
• Standards: It was conducted strictly in accordance with UNESCO criteria.

• Objective: The primary goal is to secure world heritage status for "Jefore," ensuring it receives special protection and is successfully preserved for future generations.

University's Commitment to Indigenous Knowledge
Dr. Abdelmuhsin Hasen, President of Wolkite University, highlighted that the institution is actively engaged in various research and technology transfer initiatives beyond its core Academic responsibilities.

"Our University is working on multifaceted projects in collaboration with the local community," Dr. Abdelmuhsin stated. He noted that the University has been promoting "Jefore" by incorporating it into the institution's official logo, aiming to preserve its cultural value intact while striving for international recognition.

Furthermore, since Wolkite University is categorized as an applied Sciences institution, it is currently designing a curriculum aligned with this designation. This approach focuses on enriching indigenous knowledge by integrating it with modern science.

The President expressed his gratitude to everyone involved in bringing the research output and conveyed his best wishes for the successful registration of the heritage site by UNESCO.

The forum also featured detailed presentations on the deep connection between the Gurage community and "Jefore," as well as its socio-cultural benefits.

Launch of "Gurage Hub"

In a related development, a technological platform named "Gurage Hub," developed to benefit the local community, was fully completed and officially handed over during the ceremony.
