                       Biography

      Teshome Yitbarek  was born on November 25, 1971 in Alem Ketema town, Northern Shoa. He grown up and attended primary and secondary educations at the same town. In 1990, he joined the then Awassa College of Agriculture, now Hawassa University and graduated with diploma in Plant Science and Technology. He was then assigned by Ministry of Agriculture in the then Sidamo Province where he served as Development Agent at Bore District. After a year, he was transferred to the Gambella Bureau of Agriculture and served as Junior Agronomist. Then, he joined the Mekelle University in 1998 as an Advanced Standing student and graduated with BSc degree in Dry Land Agriculture (Soil and Water Conservation). Soon after graduation, he was assigned to work in the Gambella Regional Soil Testing Laboratory. In 2004, he joined the then Debub University (now Hawassa University) and graduated with MSc degree in Agriculture (Soil Science). Then he joined the Gambella Agricultural Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ATVET) College and served as Lecturer and Dean of the College. In October 2009, he joined the School of Graduate Studies of the Haramaya University to pursue PhD program and graduated in Soil Science. He had been working in Mettu and Gambella Universities and currently working in Wolkite University as lecturer, researcher and dean of the college.
