     Biography

Currently, Genet is serving as a lecturer at Wolkite University. Academically, she has attended and completed her first degree in midwifery from Jijiga (2003-2006). Immediately to her graduation, she has started her career service at Wolkite University as a full-time instructor. Genet has earned her second degree (MSc.) in clinical midwifery from Mekelle University in the year 2010. Then, she has returned to the aforementioned University and served as a lecturer at the midwifery department till today.

During her academic career, has taught several undergraduate courses including obstetrics, gynecology, family planning, obstetric ultrasound, neonatology, and many other related courses. Besides teaching, she has also delivered fruitful and effective community services for the nearby communities. She is actively engaged in many research projects in collaboration with Wolkite University.

Genet is working hard to turn her office into the center of excellence. She works in a team and maintains a positive working relationship with her colleagues. Her management style is extremely accessible. As a result, she has the capacity and enthusiasm to take any responsibility. As a result, Wolkite University is benefited from her Experience and motivation.

Training of trainers on comprehensive abortion care and contraceptive services for pre-service instructors.

It is an institution-based service project given for graduate health care provider nurse and midwife as pre-service training on abortion and family planning service.

This project aimed to train and equip midwives and nurses before service giving service on abortion and contraceptive service.

Seminar for young and middle-aged education officials from a developing country,2018 sponsored by the ministry of commerce and organized by jiling university from October 11152018 sponsored by the ministry of commerce and organized by jiling university from October 15th to November 4th,2018 in Changchun, the people’s republic of china.

It was a seminar given for 17 developing countries in China.

The seminar aimed to show how the current educational policy of china brought a change in the country and the historical development of the country as well.

4th November 2018.
