Remark

1.

The need to re-think the social security scheme in Ethiopia

In a country like Ethiopia in which economic and social challenges are prevalent, the government has a duty to work in order to build strong social security. Ethiopia is signatory of international instruments including International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The right to social security for everyone is already laid down in article 9 of this convention. Despite this significant move in the country to overcome the challenges of social insecurity, the problem currently is predominantly considered.  This requires the need to re-think about it.

The compatibility of land and succession laws on the succession of land use right: the case of Guraghe zone

Courts usually failed to give uniform decisions on the cases of succession of land use right. This is because there are two mainly distinct laws on the area that seems conflicting. Uniform application and interpretation of these laws is quite significant to avoid uncertainty on the matter.

New research will be done in Guraghe zone and finally training be given to the concerned community
